Artist's Comments

You may not believe it but this picture gave me more trouble during editing then virtually any other. It was simply a question of cropping. I hadn’t framed the shot quite to my liking so I felt a little bit of cleaning up would help out. Easier said than done. I just couldn’t work out where to cut. I went through so many variations before settling on this one. It’s often the simple things that give you the most trouble. :|

Even with those problems though I do think it came out pretty well overall. It certainly demonstrates the delicate beauty that was on show at the Yuen Po St Flower Market, so that’s good. I believe this is a Orchrid called Phalaenopsis, I think, but I'm 100% sure (I'm not a flower expert after all ;)). I hope you like it at any rate. But of course, if you have any constructive criticism then please let me know. I’m all ears! ^^

I don't normally have a huge problem with cropping but for some reason this picture was really awkward. Not sure why.

Still, I'm glad you like it! :) Thanks for the comment!

They did look more crafted then grown, I have to admit. They definitely caught my eye, even with all of the other colours around the market. :) Wonderful things.
